Welcome to Tommyverse!

My name is Tom Soares, and I’m a Brazilian writer based in Salt Lake City, Utah. I’m also a busy husband, dad of three movie-and-pizza loving kids, a night student, part-time Elementary school PE teacher and, of course, a film and TV aficionado.

Film has been in my life for as long as I can remember. When I was five, my mother took me to the movies to watch the 1937 Disney classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which was brought back for a limited period of time. Just a couple years later, we watched Disney’s Aladdin and, again a couple years after that, The Lion King. Our family was also a member at a local movie store, where we would rent out classics and blockbusters movies like Jurassic Park to watch on one of the four TVs we had in our two bedroom apartment.

So I'm glad that today, as an adult, our family is keeping the love for movies alive. Movie and TV shows are at the heart of many things we do as a little multicultural family.
